2 Existing courses that could go virtual

I believe STAAR training could be redesigned into an online course. STAAR is the Texas Standardized test, and every year we take a course covering proper test taking and administration. If this course was redesigned to be online, it would have to be synchronous because people usually have specific questions during these meetings. The advantage of online STAAR training would be social distancing, avoiding after school meeting, more teachers trained at a time, and the opportunity to possibly connect with test admins cross campus.

Another face to face course that we had at the beginning of this year was a training on Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams training can also be redesigned to be an online course. This would definitely be better as an online course because of the technology used. It is easier to show technology virtually rather than walking around showing each person how to do something on their devices. Screen sharing would be a huge advantage when training teachers for Microsoft Teams. This course could be synchronous or asynchronous but I would suggest resources be available to review at any time.
